thevampiredrinkscoke:

Petrichor. In plain words, that’s what you call the smell of the earth after a long period of rain. It’s one of my two most favorite scents in the world- the first is the air when an air conditioner has just been opened.
Whenever it rains, I always look forward to its halt- not because I hate the rain, but so I can smell the earth, that fresh scent once it has been washed. It’s pleasant to take in- sort of brings you back to your childhood days when you could just run in the rain.
Nostalgic. Well, at least now I know there is a word for my favorite scent in the world.
