Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes (turn and face the strain)

So, it’s done. Here is where you’ll find my main blog from here on in, expect random posts on life, the universe, and everything. Here you’ll find my bits of creative writing, if that’s what you are interested in. Here you’ll find classic tumblr stuff, pictures, retumbls(?) etc, if that’s your bag. Alternatively, if you just can’t get enough of me (are you insane?) you can subscribe to my whole ‘lifestream’ here. N.B. this is not actually my life, just the online portrayal of me, which I keep true, but not complete.

So, first, a proper introduction. Hi, I’m Kirsty. I live in Scotland, work in I.T. and am fast approaching my late twenties. I love all things cute, gothic, vintage, burlesque, risqué (decipher for yourself what that means, ooh-err), geeky, and generally unusual. Pretty much sums me up too (apart from the cute bit, natch).

I do like, but don’t make a point of, being individual. I dress how I want and only occasionally worry what other people make of it. I like that I’m a little off-the-wall at times (lots of times, if you listen to my colleagues), but with a tendency to introverted-ness (if that’s even a word). I am many different people in many different situations, but aren’t we all? And this online prescence is just one of those people. There are things I will not, cannot share, but there is plenty to talk about nevertheless.

Making changes

I look to the future, not too much, certainly not as much as I have done in the past, but I can’t help myself. And so, looking to the future there will be a few changes around here that I think are necessary.

First, the Filth blog that I’ve been writing to, linked from here, will be shut down. I don’t use it any more, all the built-up pieces of Filth that I needed an outlet for have disintegrated. This is a good thing. But there’s no need for that blog to remain, so at some point soon, it will be gone.

Second, this tumblr is a bit of a mess of things, normal posts, creative writing, and the snippets of ‘stuff’ for which tumblr was intended in the first place. I am craving some clearer lines. So this blog will continue as a number of ‘normal’ posts; my views, rantings, ravings, ideas and such. There will be a separate blog for my outbursts of creative writing (which I expect to be sporadic at best), and yet another tumblr full of the classically ‘tumblr’ type things I find on the web.
